This Weeks Book

This week we are reading a true story about a hero called Johnny Pohe. He was the first maori pilot in the war but was soon captured by German guards and got held in a camp. there was no escape because there were cameras and guards everywhere. But they came up with a plan to dig a tunnel from a shed. they built it but it was 30 feet short from the forest so they had to run for it. Eventually the guards realised and made a big man hunt to find them they were court and killed soon after ether in pairs or on there own.
