Fudge Alert!

On Thursday we made fudge with Ms Byrne it was really fun! Everyone got a turn at doing something. And at the end we got to have some of the mixture and it tasted like creamy milk chocolate and a splash milky taste! To make it you will need: 2 cups of chocolate chips tsp vanilla 1 tin condensed milk And just mix it up and put it in the microwave for 1 minute and then put it in the mold and put it in the fridge for 1 hour. And enjoy!

What Ruma Piwakawaka did! This week on the 18th of June we had coding with Mr Kanine he had things like a Makey Makey and drones. First we made a Pacman game so we had to do a bit of coding to make it so we went on Tynker and started to make it. When we got onto Tynker we needed to make Pacman so we drew a yellow dot for the meanwhile and then we had to make a background, so we had to draw a maze. Then we made it so it could go up, down, right and left. But when we touched a wall then Pacman would go right through it so we made it so when you went into a wall then you would just bounce off again.Then we had our game done we could draw a mouth and a eye on Pacman. Then we had a play on the Makey Makeys, first you had to plug 6 cords into the Makey Makey then one of the cords you had to plug into a fruit or vegetable and the rest you plug into some playdough or something and also if we wanted to play the game then we had to plug a USB cord in your computer then when you held onto the fruit of vege and held down the playdough then it would control the Pacman and you could play the game!

House Sports

In term 2 we had house sports we did relays and competitions it was really fun to do. It was sunny as last time it was raining, so it was much more easy for the sports council to set it up for the school. It was really fun and active for the school and it was good fitness for cross country.

Tramping

In the term holidays I went tramping up the back of Mount Somers. It was such a long walk we had to walk three hours the first day. It was really windy and steep up the mountain on the way, we crossed the incline in the mountain. One hour later we came across an old mine cart and old shovels and horseshoes. We stayed at the Woolshed creek hut there was at least forty people staying there. We had to stay in a big bunk room with other people. The next day we left early to walk several hours on the way, we stopped at the water caves and then an hour later we stopped and cought some skinks. And eventually we got to the carpark.
